Thank you for your interest in getting connected at Woodland. What is serving? It’s your ministry, your place in the church that only you can fill. Is your passion in music, helping people feel welcomed, or in teaching children about Christ? Whatever it is, we want to help you find a place to serve. Below are the links that will give you descriptions of areas where you can get involved. Check out these service opportunities and then click on “serve here” for the area that you would like to volunteer. It takes 100’s of volunteers to make Woodland happen every week. Guest Services- (information desk, greeters, ushers, membership central counselors, parking greeters, bookstore volunteers)- This team’s purpose is to make everyone that comes to Woodland feel unconditionally welcomed, accepted and valued from the time they drive onto our campus to the time they leave the grounds. We need people to serve in our coffee shop, bookstore, information desk, and greeters, ushers, outside greeters and membership central counselors. Time commitment: approx. 1 hr. 2 times a month and special events
LifeGroup Team - Life Group leaders, Focus Point leaders, special events
Support Ministries -(Cancer Ministry, Financial Peace, Grief counseling, Divorce Care, Prayer) leaders to facilitate groups, coaches and outreach volunteers, prayer warriors
Student Ministry -Amplify (high school students)/ Blind (middle school students)- small group leaders, crowd control, leaders for vocal, drama, tech and dance teams
Kidtropolis (K-5th grade)-(KFC, AWANA, CIA) check-in, small group leaders, crowd control
Preschool (infants-4 yr olds)–nursery workers, preschool teachers, teacher assistants
Tech Team -computer graphics operator, camera operator, video director, video editor, lighting director, audio engineer, audio assistant, stage manager, stagehand, DVD duplicator
Worship Arts Team -choir, band, praise team, youth band, drama, dance, art
Recreation Team -(Summer Camps, UPWARD-soccer, basketball) coach, referee, chaperone at sport camps
REACH -Mission trips, food bank, Samoset ministries, Thanksgiving Bags, Shoebox Ministry, –stock and sort food, van drivers to pick up food, seasonal projects- wrap boxes, pack and deliver thanksgiving bags, sort items for shoeboxes. Samoset needs – people passionate about local missions to help in all aspects of ministry to children, teens, adults and families: Bible studies, mentoring, Hispanic ministry, recreation and construction and clean up.
