Counseling

What is Life-Care?

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the ultimate comforter and counselor and that God has ordained His people as helpers in that ministry. He indicates in His word that we are to:

  • Bear one another's burdens
  • Mourn with those who mourn
  • Encourage the timid, help the weak and be patient with everyone
LIFE-CARE is a group of ordained and lay people who feel God has called them specifically to this helping ministry and are dedicated to assisting you with the problems of your life by:

Caring
Assisting
Referring
Encouraging

Who do we serve?

We are a no-fee assistance service available to members of our church and the community around us. We serve in accordance with our purpose of guiding you toward Christian maturity.

What is Life-Care's Purpose?

The purpose of Life-Care is to help people with personal needs, crises and emotional struggles move toward problem solving, and to experience the life-changing relationship with Christ through spiritual maturity. Our purpose is not just to make people feel better, it is to guide them toward Christian maturity, with joy and peace in the life being a by-product. We will use and OVER and UP approach which means we will guide them to move OVER to right feelings, behavior and thoughts, followed by a move UP to having their life guided by a relationship with God and obedience to His principles.

How will Life-Care achieve this purpose?

We offer four types of counseling to meet your needs:

  • Educative counseling - Through the FocusPoint Classes  we offer classes on principles for marriage and parenting.  And through support groups such as Divorce Care, Grief Share, and Celebrate Recovery, which will teach  coping skills for recovering from the crisis of life.

  • Encouragement counseling - We will show compassion, support and concern for those experiencing a crisis or emotional struggle in their life so as to assist you through your tough times.

  • Intervention counseling - We will assist you to identify your problem, evaluate options, resources and ideas, and develop a plan of action to solve your problem within a biblical framework.

  • Referral - When necessary we will refer you to a Licensed Christian Counselor.
