Support Groups

Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Woodland members and families affected by cancer through prayer, practical services, emotional and spiritual support. 

We are currently developing a volunteer network to assist in meeting the daily and spiritual needs of cancer patients and their families.  If you are a cancer survivor, family member, or someone who has been touched by cancer, and you have a heart for sharing God’s love, hope and encouragement with cancer patients and their families we would love to hear from you.  Contact Rae Sprow at 941-747-6770 or email her at thesprows@yahoo.com.

It’s hard to know how to help someone who is going through a divorce.  It takes a long time and a lot of work to heal the pain that comes with the breakup of a marriage.  DivorceCare is a special weekly support group for people who are divorced or separated.  The best way you could help someone through a divorce, is to let them know about DivorceCare. We also have another support group starting the same night, called Griefshare. If you’ve lost someone close to you, or know someone who has, please come join us. Griefshare is a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life.
